Birnbrey Real Estate, led by Jon Birnbrey, is a commercial real estate investment and development company specializing in the repositioning and repurposing of retail net lease properties and strip centers. Birnbrey utilizes its expertise and relationships to source, acquire, and improve properties that yield attractive risk-adjusted returns.
Birnbrey is actively searching for speculative value-add net lease opportunities throughout the United States with an emphasis on the Southeast and Southwest regions. Target investments include second generation single and multi tenant outparcel buildings with vacancy, maturing lease(s), speculative credit, and/or deferred maintenance.
Jon is the Founder and Managing Principal of Birnbrey Real Estate. He brings 16+ years of industry experience that are rooted by relationships and problem solving.
Prior to founding Birnbrey Real Estate, Jon represented national retailers and restaurants as a partner at The Shopping Center Group, an Atlanta based full-service real estate advisory firm. During that time, Jon had the unique opportunity to participate in the site selection and transaction process, contributing to the growth strategies of multiple prominent companies including Bed Bath and Beyond, Chase Bank, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ross Dress for Less, Chipotle, Pollo Tropical, and Panda Express.
In addition to Birnbrey Real Estate, Jon is a Development Partner with Atlanta based Dimension Development Partners and a Co-Founder of Rockbrook Equity.
Jon is an Atlanta, Georgia native living in Dallas, TX with his wife and three kids. He is actively involved in several charities and an alumni of The University of Texas at Austin.
Cole partnered with Jon and co-founded Rockbrook Equity in 2019. He previously served in Director Level roles at NAI Robert Lynn and WeWork. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies/Real Estate Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and nearly a decade of industry experience.
